Dr Penelope (Penny) Wong completed her medical training at the University of Melbourne in 1998 and commenced her residency at Austin Health, Eastern Health, and Monash Health rotating through the mainstream medical specialties.

Penny underwent respiratory and sleep medicine training at Concord Hospital in Sydney in 2005 and she undertook sleep fellow training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital in Melbourne in 2006-2007. She has been practicing as a consultant respiratory and sleep medicine physician at the Geelong Hospital where she serviced the Greater Geelong Area for 7 years.

Now that she has a young family, Penny decided to set up in private practice in the eastern and southeastern suburbs of Melbourne. She has experience in general respiratory medicine including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, chronic bronchitis, and bronchiectasis. She also has experience in managing pneumonia and pleural effusion. She has capacities of performing flexible endoscopic bronchoscopy and pleural procedures. She also has experience in sleep apnoea, snoring and restless leg syndrome and she has accreditation in performing sleep studies.

Penny has as a locum position with Eastern Health.
