We pride ourselves on offering the best possible hospitality experience to all our patients, visitors and staff by providing an exceptional customer service together with high-quality freshly prepared meals.

We appreciate that the quality and taste of the food offered at our hospital is a critical aspect of our patient’s experience. Our chefs are focused on creating a range of delicious menu options utilising high-quality and fresh produce, supporting local growers and suppliers.

Special consideration is taken when planning and providing your meals. If you have any special dietary requirements these will be identified as part of your admission process and our catering team will be available to assist in meeting your dietary requirements once you are admitted.

Your partner is welcome to stay with you overnight, as we believe they should be involved in the parenting experience to give you physical and emotional support. To accommodate partners, some of the private rooms have double beds. Partners are welcome to stay overnight when an appropriate room is allocated, subject to availability.

If you and your baby are well and you wish to go home early, please discuss this with your obstetrician. Some mums choose to go home early in consultation with their doctor. If this is the case, mums can access the Early Discharge Program, which includes midwifery/lactation visits at home, arranged for a time and day that suits you.

Discharge time is 9.30 am.

Family and friends are welcome to visit the Maternity Ward during designated visiting hours and are asked to be considerate to new mothers and babies. The Ward is closed to all visitors (except partners) between 1 and 3 pm to allow new mothers complete quietness and rest. Partners may visit any time.
