Midwife Speciality Consultations

Twins

To prepare for the birth of twins we invite women to book for a complementary appointment with one of our experienced midwives.

The consultation will be an opportunity to discuss individual concerns as well as preparing for birth, establishing breast feeding and include an orientation to the Special Care Nursery.

We suggest that the appointment should occur between 24 weeks and 28 weeks of the pregnancy.

Gestational Diabetic Women on Insulin

Women who are gestational Diabetics and who are on insulin during their pregnancy are invited for a complementary appointment with one of experienced midwives.

The consultation will provide an opportunity to discuss what to expect after birth of your baby and antenatal expressing of colostrum from 36 weeks of pregnancy.

Surrogate Pregnancies

We welcome surrogate and commissioning families to make a time to meet our Maternity Service Manager to discuss their pregnancy and the birth of their baby.

The Nurse Manager will work with both families during the pregnancy to develop an individual & flexible plan for the birth, establishing breast feeding and preparing for discharge.
