Mitcham Private Hospital is pleased to welcome Mr Ash Moaveni, specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon who has a particular interest in management of conditions affecting the shoulder and elbow.
Mr Moevani has commenced private consulting and operating at Mitcham Private Hospital and is currently a visiting orthopaedic surgeon at the Alfred Hospital.
He is a Melbourne-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon, gaining his Fellowship in 2009. During his Orthopaedic training, he was awarded a number of academic prizes for excellence, including the Victorian Branch Training Committee Registrar’s Prize (AOA), the Young Ambassador Award (APOA) and the Alan Frederick Dwyer Prize (AOA).
Following the completion of his training, he commenced 3 prestigious international Fellowship in Hand and Wrist, Shoulder and Elbow and Upper Limb Sporting Injuries.
His has worked with internationally renowned shoulder and elbow surgeons, both in Europe and North America. He has been an invited guest speaker at national and
international meetings. He has written book chapters regarding the management of shoulder and elbow conditions.
