Mitcham Private Hospital would like to introduce Dr Pinaki Chavali, an obstetrician and gynaecologist consulting and operating at private and public hospitals in Melbourne, Victoria. Pinaki caters for women of all ages and backgrounds, seeking a compassionate and personalized approach to their healthcare needs.
After graduating in 1999, Dr Chavali moved to Australia in 2002 to pursue Master’s in Public Health under the Deakin University Consortium for Public Health. After gaining the Australian Medical Council Certification, Pinaki commenced working at Launceston General Hospital in 2004 before joining Monash Health in 2006.
After gaining wide experience in the specialty both in Melbourne and Tasmania, Pinaki attained FRANZCOG in 2015 whilst with The Royal Women’s Hospital, Melbourne. Since then, Pinaki has worked at numerous hospitals and clinics in various roles including The Royal Women’s Hospital, Sandringham Hospital, Latrobe Regional Hospital and The Alfred.
Pinaki’s public appointments include consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist position with The Royal Women’s Hospital and Eastern Health (Boxhill, Angliss & Bellbird Hospital) in Melbourne, Victoria. Also, an honorary gynaecologist role at the Alfred Hospital. Pinaki supervises O&G Registrars in-training, mentoring medical students and regularly participates at various training workshops as lecturer and examiner.
As a true generalist, Pinaki enjoys working across most areas of obstetrics and gynaecology. With an immense liking and appreciation by all patients and staff, Pinaki strives hard for a patient focused outlook to improve understanding and outcomes.
Pinaki performs both open and laparoscopic gynaecological procedures, including complex endometriosis surgery and total laparoscopic hysterectomy. Pinaki has been equally passionate about antenatal care for pregnant woman from conception to delivery and very happy to guide and manage patients according to their location and convenience.
Pinaki’s private practice is based in Wantirna. He also consults at various other locations in Melbourne.
Pinaki aims to provide streamlined access for quick assessment and management of both routine and complex obstetrics and gynaecological conditions for women of all ages.
