Mitcham Private Hospital would like to introduce Dr Caroline Hoggenmueller, a skilled and experienced obstetrician and gynaecologist based in Melbourne. She completed her medical education at the Technical University of Munich in Germany in 2005 and went on to undertake specialist O&G training at several prominent hospitals in Melbourne, including Mercy Hospital for Women, Ballarat Base Hospital, and Sunshine Hospital. During this time Caroline developed a particular interest in advanced laparoscopic surgery and minimally invasive surgery.
As a specialist Gynaecologist, Caroline offers a range of services, including general gynaecology, colposcopy, management of menstrual disorders as well as removal of uterine polyps, removal of fibroids and hysterectomy, management of menopause and conditions of the vulva, advanced laparoscopic surgery, management of pelvic pain, treatment of endometriosis and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). With her wealth of knowledge and experience, Caroline is committed to providing compassionate and patient-centered care to all her patients.

Outside of work, Caroline is a proud mother of two children. When she’s not practicing medicine, she loves to travel and spend time outdoors with her family, often going on hikes or bike rides together. She also enjoys taking care of her health through activities such as Pilates and running as she believes in the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

• Provides training for multidisciplinary teams in the management of Obstetric Emergencies.
• Teaches and supervises O&G Doctors-in-training in her public role at Mercy Hospital for Women and Austin Hospital.
• Facilitates RANZCOG accredited workshops for Obstetrics and Gynaecology trainees.
