Mitcham Private Hospital would like to introduce Dr Jonathan Carnes a general physician with interests in complex medical management, perioperative medicine and heart failure.
He completed medical school at the University of Tasmania then undertook physician training at Eastern Health and Monash Health. Jonathan holds public positions at Monash Medical Centre and Dandenong Hospitals.
As a general physician, Jonathan regularly manages patients with complex, multi-system medical and psychosocial conditions. He is also adept at investigating symptoms without an identified cause. Jonathan has a keen interest in preventative cardiology with published research examining use of biomarkers for the early diagnosis of heart failure. Additionally, he has completed perioperative training through Monash University.
