Mr Alex Wong graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2002 and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). He completed specialist colorectal training through the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ) while working at St Vincent’s, Austin and Box Hill Hospitals in Melbourne in addition to the prestigious and world-renowned Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, United States of America.

Mr Wong is an accredited endoscopist.

Mr Wong treats the full spectrum of colorectal disease. His special interests are:

  • Colon, rectal and anal cancer
  • Inflammatory bowel disease
  • Faecal incontinence and pelvic-floor disorders
  • Diverticular disease
  • All perianal conditions including fistula, haemorrhoids and fissures

  • laparoscopic (key-hole) surgery including single-incision laparoscopic surgery (SILS)
  • advanced endoscopic surgery procedures like
    • Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD)
    • Trans-anal Endoscopic Microsurgery (TEMs)
  • Sacral nerve stimulation for faecal incontinence
  • Ultrasound guided painless haemorrhoid surgery(THD,HALO)
