Mitcham Private Hospital would like to introduce, Dr Melissa Wong who graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1993. She undertook her obstetrics and gynaecological training at the Royal Womens’ Hospital and Box Hill Hospital. Melissa completed additional subspecialist training in infertility and holds a Masters degree in Reproductive Fertility from the University of New South Wales.
Melissa is a general gynaecologist and her expertise includes management of heavy and painful periods, IUD insertions, abnormal Pap smears and colposcopy and menopause. Operative procedures performed include laparoscopy, D&C and LLETZ procedures. Melissa has a special interest in reproductive endocrinology and infertility, including IVF, ovulation induction, donor insemination, recurrent miscarriage, polycystic ovarian syndrome and male infertility.
Melissa has been practising gynaecology in the Mitcham area for over 18 years and offers regular consulting and operating times to accommodate her patients. In addition, Melissa currently holds a position as a consultant at Box Hill Hospital and Monash IVF.
Melissa deals with all aspects of general gynaecology including menorrhagia, dysplasia on pap smear, pelvic pain and postmenopausal bleeding.
