Services include breast cancer surgery with oncoplastic and ultrasound-guided techniques, breast reconstruction in collaboration with plastic surgeons, benign breast surgery, thyroid and minimally invasive parathyroid surgery, and general surgery such as laparoscopic cholecystectomy and hernia repairs (including laparoscopic inguinal hernia), along with treatment of benign and malignant skin lesions. Additional services cover benign breast and thyroid conditions, familial breast cancer surveillance, ultrasound-guided biopsies, and breast MRI referrals.

Mitcham Private Hospital would like to introduce Miss Natalie Zantuck, general surgeon with additional training in breast and endocrine surgery. 

Natalie completed her Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at Monash University in 2002. She worked as a junior doctor at the Alfred Hospital and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2012, after completing general surgery specialty training at Austin Health and Eastern Health. Natalie undertook a year of specialty breast and endocrine fellowship at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane in 2012, before returning to Melbourne as the Endocrine Surgery Fellow at the Austin Hospital in 2013.

In 2014, she was appointed as a consultant general surgeon, breast and endocrine at Eastern Health, and St Vincent’s Health. She also has a regular appointment with BreastScreen Victoria.

Natalie is a keen teacher, involved with both medical student and surgical trainee education programs.

Natalie is a member of Breast Surgeons ANZ, and Australia and New Zealand Endocrine Surgeons.

She regularly attends both local and international meetings across all specialty areas and has completed several International Oncoplastic Breast Surgery Courses and Ultrasound Workshops.

Natalie is committed to providing excellent surgical care, with a thoughtful and caring approach to her patients. She prides herself on being approachable and by allowing time to provide understandable information in a comfortable environment. She participates in several Multidisciplinary Meetings to provide a combined specialist approach to her patients.
