Dr Sahar Abdullah is an obstetrician and gynaecologist, Sahar is originally from Iraq, where she completed 7 years training in Baghdad before moving to Australia in 1998.
In 2003 she travelled to the UK to complete her MRCOG before returning to Australia where she obtained her fellowship from RANZCOG. Sahar undertook her training through the Royal Women’s Hospital and her last year of advanced training in urogynaecology, at Box Hill Hospital. Sahar takes responsibility for patient care during and after pregnancy, and typically takes a natural approach unless medical intervention is necessary.
Sahar commenced her private practice in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne consulting at Mitcham. She also holds public appointments as a Consultant obstetrician & gynaecologist at Box Hill and the Angliss Hospital.
She is a member of the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy & Surgery Society (AGES).
