Pre-pregnancy information evenings are offered twice monthly and tours of the Maternity Unit are available each weekend. Bookings are essential so please phone to confirm availability. Midwifery Unit No. (03) 9210 3111.

EDUCATION AND SUPPORT FOR YOU& YOUR BABY
To assist you and your family in preparing for the birth of your new baby, we offer a comprehensive ante and post natal education program. Classes are conducted by midwives and include preparation for labour, birth and early parenting. We also offer grandparent discussion groups.
Breastmilk is the optimal food for your new baby, our midwives will assist and support you to establish breastfeeding. We respect however, your right to feed your baby whichever way you choose and will help you with preparation of formula and feeding techniques. You may wish to participate in our Maternity Care in The Home Program.
Mitcham Private Hospital also offers a breastfeeding (Lactation) consulting service. This service is available to the general community, as well as Mitcham Private Hospital clients.

- Bassinette blanket
- 4 Nightgowns/jumpsuits
