Mitcham Private Hospital is a fully accredited 110 bed acute medical, surgical and maternity facility. The hospital is dedicated to providing the highest quality care with focused attention on client needs and services.
Mitcham Private Hospital is well recognised in the local area for many of its acute services, and is widely recognised throughout Australia for its maternity services. The Hospital was recognised by UNICEF in 1994, as being Australia’s first “Baby Friendly Hospital”.
We offer a range of luxury private and shared rooms, each attractively decorated and equipped with private telephone and colour television. Ensuite facilities are provided to every room and each unit has its own lounge area and kitchenette.
Our operating theatres are equipped for both minor and complex procedures. Our facilities include three operating theatres, all of which are equipped with the latest technical equipment.
For acutely ill patients or following major surgery, we have a three bed High Dependency Unit. This unit provides constant care and supervision to patients who require specialist attention. Your doctor will determine whether you will require the services of the High Dependency Unit.
The hospital also provides on site pathology and radiology services, including ultrasound, mammography and X-Ray.
