Visiting Hours

The support of family and friends is an important part of the recovery process, and we welcome visitors during designated visitor hours.

Important Notice:

Do you or have you been with someone who has an infectious disease such as:

  • Influenza
  • Chicken Pox
  • Whooping Cough
  • Gastroenteritis

Or are you feeling unwell with:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Cold/Flu
  • Gastro illness (nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea)

If you answered yes to any of these, then please DO NOT visit patients in the hospital. Most people in hospital will have a depleted immunity and are vulnerable to illness.

Visiting hours are as follows:
Maternity 3.00pm to 4.00pm
7.00pm to 8.00pm
Medical and Surgical Units 2.00pm to 8.00pm
High Dependency Facility please liaise with the nurse in charge
Victoria Court Mental Health Facility Alternative arrangements can be made with prior agreement from the unit manager.

We ask that you and your visitors respect the wishes and wellbeing of our other patients and avoid undue noise.  Please be considerate when using mobile phones.

Hospitals can present hazards to children, so we request that children be supervised by an adult at all times, and are not permitted to roam freely around the hospital

There are lounge areas that visitors can use in all clinical areas.

Mitcham is a smoke free zone.
